DESAIN ADAPTIF FUZZY POWER SYSTEM STABILIZER (PSS) PADA SISTEM TENAGA MULTIMESIN

In the electric power generation, the frequency and voltage stability are parameters of the reliability of the electric power system. One of the discussions in this paper is about PSS (power system stabilizer), which is an additional equipment that has the role of expanding the stability limit by adding damping to the generator. The output of the generator is frequency, voltage and power. Therefore frequency stability must be controlled properly. Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is one of control that doesn’t utilize mathematical models to solve problems. In the LFC, the system parameters both input and output are processed into linguistic variables through the fuzzification and defuzzification processes using roles and membership functions. Multi-machine systems that experience a change in load experience large oscillations for the generator which will take a long time to achieve stability (steady state). Using PSS with the Fuzzy method simulated in Matlab / Simulink can solve the problem of load change conditions in fast settling time.
